At 230 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
strong thunderstorm near Dallas... moving northeast at 45 mph.

These storms have the potential to produce dime sized sized hail... 
frequent cloud to ground lightning and wind gusts to 35 mph as they
move across Paulding County through 245 PM EDT.

Some locations in the path of these storms include
Dallas... Hiram and New Hope. 

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for northwestern
Georgia.

Flash Flood Watch

… Flash Flood Watch in effect through late tonight…

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for north and central Georgia.

* Through late tonight

* several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will lead to
widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches. When combined with
recently saturated grounds… flooding will be likely for already
swollen rivers across the area. In addition to the river
flooding… isolated flash flooding will be possible as well heavy
rainfall over already saturated grounds.

* Flooding of low lying… poor drainage areas is likely… along
with the potential flash flooding of several flood prone rivers
and streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions…

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very
dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood
warnings be issued.

line of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Smyrna
to near Villa Rica... and moving east at 35 mph.

These storms have the potential to produce pea sized sized hail...  
dangerous cloud to ground lightning and wind gusts to 40 mph as they 
move across De Kalb... Cobb... Paulding... Douglas and north Fulton 
counties through 600 PM EDT.

Some locations in the path of these storms include
Atlanta... Marietta... Douglasville... Sandy Springs... Smyrna... Villa
Rica... Powder Springs... Chamblee... Doraville... Austell... North
