The National Weather Service has issued and updated a Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of North and Central Georgia.
A strong weather system will impact the area tonight through Friday. This system will have the potential to produce widespread heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are expected to move into Georgia late this evening sometime between 9PM and midnight and will spread East overnight. Some of these storms will be severe. Storm Hazards include: Damaging Winds up to 65 MPH, Large Hail up to 1.5 inches in diameter and possibly an Isolated Tornado. Remain alert to rapidly changing weather conditions this evening and tonight. Monitor Local Media and/or NOAA Weather for later statements.
