… Flash Flood Watch in effect from this evening through Wednesday afternoon…
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for north and west central Georgia.
* From 6 PM today through 6 PM Wednesday
* rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible through Wednesday… and locally higher amounts can be expected… particularly across the Atlanta Metro area and northeast Georgia mountains.
* Periods of heavy rain will combine with the already saturated conditions to allow large amounts of run off into nearby streams… creeks and rivers… and minor flooding is possible. Isolated flash flooding will also be possible if heavy rain repeatedly moves over the same area. Storm drains and ditches may become quickly clogged with debris and cause extensive street flooding and Road ponding.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
