...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WESTERN DOUGLAS...WESTERN
COWETA...SOUTHEASTERN HARALSON...CARROLL...NORTHWESTERN TROUP...HEARD
AND SOUTHERN PAULDING COUNTIES UNTIL 830 PM EDT...
 
At 740 PM EDT...a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Bremen to near Trammel Crossroads...and moving
northeast at 35 mph.
 
 HAZARD...Winds up to 40 mph and heavy rain.
 
 IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
 light...unsecured objects. Trees can also down more
 easily with already wet soil from previous rainfall.
 Heavy rain may cause temporary street flooding especially
 in poor drainage areas.
 
Some locations in the path of these storms include
Douglasville, Carrollton, Buchanan, Franklin, Villa Rica, Bremen,
Temple, Hiram, Tallapoosa, Bowdon, Mount Zion, Whitesburg, Waco,
Ephesus, Centralhatchee, Roopville, Brownsville, Seaton Lake,
Fairplay and Clem.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. Motorists should
slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
