…Flood Watch remains in effect from midnight EDT tonight through late Wednesday night…
The Flood Watch continues for
* north and central Georgia.
* From midnight EDT tonight through late Wednesday night
* widespread rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches are expected across north Georgia and 1 to 3 inches are expected for central Georgia.
* Isolated flash flooding will be possible…mainly over north Georgia…if the heavy rain repeatedly moves over the same area. Also…storm drains and ditches may become quickly clogged with debris and cause extensive street flooding and Road ponding. Minor to potentially moderate flooding of some of the larger creeks and rivers is likely across the entire area.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
