Flash Flood Warning

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for… Paulding County in northwestern Georgia… Cobb County in north central Georgia…

* until 715 am EST Sunday

* at 112 am EST…National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain passing over the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Around two inches of rain have fallen during the past 6 hours and creeks are beginning to rise quickly. Flash flooding is expected on Allatoona creek within the next hour or so.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to Marietta…Dallas…Smyrna…Kennesaw…Acworth…Powder Springs… Austell…Hiram…Braswell…Fair Oaks…Lithia Springs…due west…Kennesaw State University…jim r Miller Park…Six Flags Over Georgia…Brownsville…New Hope…New Georgia…Lost Mountain Park and Burnt Hickory ridge.
