* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL GEORGIA AND NORTHWEST GEORGIA.

 

* FROM 10 PM EST THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING

 

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT WILL SPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT…WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS TO 3-4 INCHES.

 

* MOIST SOIL CONDITIONS CONTINUE TO PERSIST TODAY FROM RAIN OVER THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS. THIS WILL ALLOW RAIN TO RUN OFF INTO NEARBY STREAMS…CREEKS…AND RIVERS CAUSING RAPID RISES AND MINOR FLOODING OF SMALLER CREEKS…STREAMS…AND LOW-LYING FLOOD-PRONE AREAS…INCLUDING AREAS NEAR LOOKOUT CREEK.
