* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
southwest North Carolina
western South Carolina
* effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 500 PM until
1100 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include…
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Summary…line of thunderstorms over TN and eastern AR will sag
southward across the watch area…posing a threat of damaging winds
and hail through the late afternoon and early evening.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west of
Oxford Mississippi to 5 miles southeast of Anderson South

Remember…a severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements

do produce tornadoes.
