The National Weather Service is forecasting a very strong cold front to enter the area Sunday night.
Once the front enters the state on Sunday, temperatures are not forecasted to rise above freezing until Wednesday.
A Hard Freeze is forecasted to occur on Tuesday morning with a temperature of 7 degrees and even lower with the wind chill.
Take time this weekend to protect pipes and check heaters in advance of the cold front. Provide adequate shelter to pets and livestock. Also any moisture on the roads will freeze. Use extreme caution driving Monday and Tuesday. Avoid long exposure to the elements and make sure all exposed skin is covered to prevent frost bite. Monitor local media and/or NOAA Weather for further statements and later advisories regarding this cold front.
