Special Weather Statement Updated

Periods of light snow or flurries expected today across portions of West-Central Georgia.
Areas of light snow or flurries will increase across West-Central Georgia this morning including the Metro Atlanta areas.
For areas North of I-20 and I-85 a quick dusting to 1/2 inch of snow is possible. Especially over grassy and metal surfaces. In additions where the snow is more persistent and heavier secondary roads, bridges and overpasses could briefly become snow covered which may create a few slick spots throught the morning.

Heavier snow accumulations are expected across North Georgia, north of a Rome to Canton line and in the mountains.
