Wind Advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Paulding County.

Strong gradient winds will develop behind a cold front that has settled across the area making for cold blustery conditions overnight.

Timing: 5 PM Today – 4 AM Friday

Winds: Northwest 20 to 25 MPH with gusts around 35
MPH.

Impacts: With the recent rain and moist soils some trees may be downed. Isolated power outages are possible. Driving may become difficult especially in high profile vehicles. With the cold temperatures overnight resultant wind chills will become significant as well.

Precautionary / Preparedness Actions:
Secure loose outdoor items. Use extra caution while driving – especially for high profile vehicles. If you must be outside for long periods of time make sure you cover all exposed skin from the wind.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least 20 MPH or gusts to 35 MPH or stronger are expected across the forecast area.
