The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of Metro Atlanta including Paulding County.
Hazards include Snow and Sleet.
Accumulations of half an inch to 2 inches are possible.
Snow is expected to begin as early as mid-morning on Tuesday and last through Wednesday morning.
Temperatures: Hi – 26 Low – 16
Impacts from this winter weather storm include snow and ice covered roads that will make travel difficult or impossible Tuesday night into Wednesday. Ice accumulation on trees and power lines may down large limbs and cause power outages.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Be sure to buy non-perishable foods. Make contingency plans if you have a need to travel during this period. If you can change your travel – do so before the event starts. Now is the time to plan – do not wait for the Warning! This is a re-broadcast from the National Weather Service forecast office in Peachtree City, Georgia. We advise you to monitor local media outlets and/or NOAA Weather Radio for the latest statements regarding this developing winter weather system.
